No Kings Day 3: Saturday, March 28

UPDATE: March 27, 2026

NO KINGS DAY 3
Tomorrow! Saturday, March 28

Lasting, healthy societal change and evolution happens from the bottom up, not the top down.

People of all ages across the United States and around the globe will be taking to the streets in protest.

Are you ready?

We're calling on all of our Perelandra people to get out there and take a (literal) stand for democracy, for the environment, for access to affordable medical care, for human rights, for civil rights and for an end to violence. Do what you can to make it happen. All you need is a sign and a place to meet.

“Turning out to rallies to show your physical support for something is huge. Our constitution begins 'we the people' and goes on to say that we the people loan to our elected officials, our power. But if they are acting in ways that we don't approve of, that we cease to support, we can take that power back. And that's really, really important to demonstrate.”

— Dr. Heather Cox Richardson
Explainer: Our Right to Pursue the American Dream

We're calling on all of our Perelandra people to get out there and take a (literal) stand for democracy, for the environment, for access to affordable medical care, for human rights, for civil rights and for an end to violence. Do what you can to make it happen. All you need is a sign and a place to meet.

If you don't already have a plan, you can find a group near you on this map and website.

➺ If you can’t participate in a local event or if there is not one near you, keep reading. There's still plenty you can do!

➺ If there is no event planned for your town, make a sign, gather some friends and family, and spend a couple hours together this Saturday morning in front of your local county courthouse or government offices.

➺ If you live in a rural area like we do, and your event is a standing-in-place-along-a-road or gathering-in-a-park event, rather than a march — drive past the crowd, have your kids hold up their sign at the window, honk your horn, give a thumbs up, call out support. We can say from experience — that is so heartening and helpful to those standing along the road with signs. Let them know there are even more neighbors "standing" with them.

Share this information with everyone you know who is disturbed by the systematic destruction of fair representation, the right to vote, the ability to speak your mind and heart or to have a differing opinion or to report the news accurately without retribution...

Share this information with everyone you know who is disturbed by authoritarianism, the Executive Branch of the U.S. government taking total control over its citizens and our resources — tax dollars, environment, education, health and welfare. And for ignoring the U.S. Constitution to suit personal interests.

Share this information with everyone you know who doesn't want children grabbed off the street by masked men just because the child looks a certain way and they need to meet their required daily "round up" count.

Share this information with everyone you know who is angered by the unlawful misuse of our military troops and abuse of power.

Share this information with anyone who wants our young country to evolve into what we've always claimed to be: a government by the people, for the people.

Reminders and Important Tips

For anyone planning to participate in a No Kings event tomorrow — Saturday, March 28, we remind you:

⦿ Take a dose of ETS for Humans before you leave the house. Bring it with you in case you need it during the day. Take one more dose when you get home.

⦿ If your kids are participating, give them a dose of ETS before and after the event.

⦿ Make sure you and your kids each have your EoP Infusion on you before you leave the house. For those teenagers that can't be bothered, you can always tell them that, yes, it may seem a little unusual, but humor you anyway and put it in their front pocket!

We offer more tips on using the Perelandra tools for peaceful dissent here.

Especially important in these times: Be prepared. Know your rights and follow these peaceful protest safety tips.

Why Participate?

One of the things Machaelle shares with us regularly is the smart and helpful information that Dr. Heather Cox Richardson (aka "HCR"), an American historian and professor at Boston College, is offering. And she wants you to have this valuable resource of information too.

We found this recent interview extremely helpful in providing calm, factual context for where we find ourselves right now and what we can personally bring to the moment. Dr. Richardson talks with Timothy Snyder, an American historian specializing in the history of Central and Eastern Europe, the Soviet Union, and the Holocaust.

This presentation by HCR also gives helpful context for what is happening today and how we can take control of our personal response to current U.S. and world events. She tells us how to “Step back, take a breath and take control of the situation.” If you are short on time, listen to the last 8 minutes of her talk, starting at 47:00 minutes to hear how we can protect the right to vote, the ways we can stand up for democracy and why it’s worthwhile to turn out to rallies, like the No Kings Rally on Saturday. But also, how to fight back at personal level by being nice to each other in our day-to-day activities and protect our families and communities in our daily interactions. She also reminds us that this is our government and we can work toward a government that helps us. What kind of world do we want to build?

Earlier this month, the global monitor of rights and democracy, Freedom House, released its annual report, Freedom in the World 2026. It found: “Global freedom declined for the 20th consecutive year in 2025. A total of 54 countries experienced deterioration in their political rights and civil liberties during the year, while only 35 countries registered improvements.” It added that the United States was one of the countries rated “free” that experienced the biggest declines in freedom last year.

If you're not able to support the Saturday No Kings events, but still want to take action, consider this.

Our MLK Day message remains timely and gives many examples of how to use Essence of Perelandra for supporting positive action:

On Choosing to Be An Agent of Change

No Voice Unheard: Ways to make your voice heard.

     Vote Forward

Call your senators and representatives and tell them to vote NO on the SAVE act. Here’s how you reach them:
     Call U.S. Senators ➤
     Call U.S. State Representatives ➤

Why?

The SAVE Act: An attempt to restrict voting rights
[Brookings Institution, March 26, 2025]

Most importantly: Do Something.

Use the rights we still have. If we freeze up, afraid of retribution, we hand over our rights and self-determination. Don’t just wait to see what happens next. Act. You can be a part of the choices that decide what happens next.
