What if I catch something?
Or if something catches me?!
Addressing Exposure, Illness and Recovery
Many of us are celebrating the holidays, and preparing to spend more joyful time with family and friends over the next few weeks. Unfortunately, this holiday closeness happens at the same time that lots of folks are sick. Sometimes those folks — and their microbes — will show up to the party anyway, spreading something other than joy!
Here are helpful tips and answers to the questions we're asked the most about how to use your Perelandra tools to help yourself through the season.
You don't have to use everything listed.
Apply the Perelandra tools you already have available. You can build your personal Perelandra Health Kit as you need, in the timing and order that's right for you.
Some things are "tried and true" for a reason!
Don't underestimate the effectiveness of consistently using the "basics" like daily doses of the Important Perelandra Solutions or a weekly MAP session.
ETS: For every day. For everyone.
We mention this a lot because we know folks tend to forget this, especially during busy times or during a crisis or when there's a big routine change or when dealing with an illness. But those are exactly the times it's most important to remember ETS for Humans.
Also, the everyday strain of long-running, multiple health crises impacts your health, whether or not you are sick. We are all experiencing more than a few challenges to our circuits — mentally, emotionally and physically.
Take one dose (12 drops) of ETS for Humans two times a day, every day, even if you think all is well.
If you're in crisis, feeling on edge or "fighting off something," take one dose 3–5 times a day.
I've been feeling bad the last couple days, so I stopped taking all of my Daily Solutions. When should I start taking them again?
Right now! Continue giving your body support, especially if you're not feeling well or you know you've been exposed to something. That's when you want to be extra certain not to miss your twice-daily doses. If your illness forces you to take a break, get back into the routine as soon as you can. If that means starting by taking your doses once daily for a little while, then building back to twice a day, go ahead and do that. Consistency is key to effectiveness.
I've been feeling bad the last couple days, so I stopped taking all of my Daily Solutions. When should I start taking them again?
If you just want to stick with taking bottled Solutions, we recommend the support of these Important Daily Solutions — Virus, Immune, Lymphatic and Respiratory — twice daily, morning and night.
Add the Bacteria and Nervous Solutions if you can. If you tend to pick up stomach bugs, add Digestive.
If you are experiencing symptoms or are being treated, continue taking twice-daily doses of Virus, Immune, Lymphatic and Respiratory Solutions. Also increase to five-times-daily doses of ETS for Humans.
More than just feeling bad, I am "down for the count." What's the simplest way to help myself through?
Throughout your illness, take one dose (12 drops) of ETS for Humans 5 times daily. And take Essence of Perelandra (EoP) 5 times daily for maintaining strength.
They may be taken at the same time of day, waiting just 10 seconds between each dose.
Either administer the needed drops directly from the bottle dropper or use a clean spoon for each. Do not combine ETS and EoP into one spoon, keep them separate.
If you add only one more Solution, make it twice-daily doses of Virus Solution.
When you're able, resume twice-daily doses of your Important Solutions. You can build them back in gradually if necessary, starting with one dose daily. Do just as much as you are comfortable and able while sick.
If you can't keep anything down and just staying hydrated is a challenge: Put ETS for Humans on the inside of your wrist a few drops at a time and rub it in (10-12 drops total). Do this as often as you can through the day. Either wrist is fine, you can alternate. Resume oral doses as soon as you are able.
How do I work with MAP after being exposed to a pathogen or when I'm sick?
If you have none or just a few of the Solutions recommended — use them as instructed. And if you know MAP and are too sick to take Solutions or you are hospitalized — be sure to open Emergency MAP* right away.
If you work with MAP and are currently ill, open a session as usual and tell your team you would like the focus of your session to be only on the current infection you are dealing with:
❧ "for moving ________ [name of pathogen] out of my system and shoring up my body and health from any adverse impact caused by the illness." or
❧ "for moving whatever is causing my symptoms of ________ [list your symptoms] out of my system and shoring up my body and health from any adverse impact caused by the illness."
This is your focus for the entire 40-minute session. Do not add in other issues. At the end of the session, ask your team how often you need to have MAP sessions for this one issue. Those sessions will also need to be focused solely on this issue and not on anything else.
* Read and learn the Emergency MAP instructions now. Don't wait until you are in an emergency or crisis. See MAP, 3rd edition, pages 141-144. We suggest you make a quick-reference card for yourself now, so you won't have to go hunting for your book or rely on your memory.
If you are in a high-risk situation, as soon as you start experiencing symptoms (or think you are experiencing symptoms), open Emergency MAP, tell them what you're experiencing. Leave it open until you're well on the road to recovery and regaining your strength. After you close Emergency MAP, resume your regular pathogen MAP session rhythm (see tips for preparing and strengthening).
