Nature: Simple, Sweet Sanctuary

Processes & Nature
SIMPLE, SWEET SANCTUARY
by M.M., Los Angeles, CA

I moved into a new apartment a few months ago and hadn't set up a Nature Spirit sanctuary until tonight. I woke up at 3 a.m. and thought, "I'll just do an offer of intent now in the dark and read the book for the real version in the morning." I went ahead and offered the 3 x 3 x 2 area below the ceiling near the bathroom door, saying, "I'd like to offer this space as a sanctuary, but not too close to the curtain because I have to use it as an active, movable curtain." (This is a small apartment.) I was surprised again by a sweet feeling of love from them when I said it. Sometimes I forget that they enjoy working with me, too, and it's not just all in my head. That space up there feels different to me now. I find myself sometimes just looking at it, wondering how they're using it, what does it look like to them? It's nice to have them around, not that I could physically exist without their help, but I mean, it's nice to have a place here where I'm aware of them doing whatever they're doing and remembering how sweet their responses have been when I set them up. I've gotten similar feelings in each apartment when I set a sanctuary up. Talk about the ideal housemates! They love you when you invite them in, never leave a mess or make noise and give great decorating advice. Thank you again, Machaelle.
