Update: February 11, 2024
For some folks, these mid-February days bring joy, whether it's watching the Super Bowl game with friends, diving into all the hearts and hype of Valentine's Day or the promise of springtime right around the corner and pleasure of tending your garden.
But a lot of us are just not presently feeling the joy. Maybe you've been taking hit after hit in the “atmospheric river” on the west coast and are just worn out from the repeated clean-up. Maybe you worry for family and friends in any number of places in our world that are war-torn or climate-battered, or in political turmoil.
Maybe it's the day-to-day struggles of life, during cold dreary weather, getting you down and holding you there. Or perhaps you're recovering from a major surgery or difficult diagnosis or battering treatment regimen. Or the past four years of a pandemic and the fear and worry, illness, death and isolation, and all the changes this brought to our lives has caught up to you.
We get it. And sometimes feel it too.
This article gives a lot of options to choose from. Please don't let the options overwhelm you further! We only include them all because we know you each have your “go-to” Solutions, Essences or processes and we want you to know how to use what you have in this situation.
If you are new or new-ish to Perelandra, choose the option that you feel most drawn to when you read it. Begin simply and save this article. If you find you need additional support, come back to it and choose the next option that jumps out at you.
Good, Better, Best
Addressing Despair
Or just down-in-the-dumps blahs.
Yes, with everything going on in the world it can be a hell of a challenge to stay present, pay attention and manage to end the day without feeling despondent.
You don't have to be non-functional or outwardly troubled to be struggling with despair, or any other emotional or mental state holding you down.
You may read this and be encouraged that you're holding up okay, all things considered. You may read this and be surprised to realize it's exactly how you're feeling. Or you might read this and see that it's describing a friend or loved one.
How we may experience despair, and how we respond to or even recognize it, can vary:
- You feel like you're in a deep, dark pit and can't find the ladder.
- The idea of the future is laughable, if you could feel like laughing.
- It's taking more effort to convince yourself to get out of bed each day.
- You're isolating yourself more than usual.
- Watching or reading the news makes you feel hopeless.
- Daily tasks take longer and are harder to think through than usual.
- The world keeps turning, but it feels like you're watching rather than living in it.
If you need traditional support like one-on-one counseling or group therapy or other medical options — we encourage you to pursue them.
You can also make the most of what Perelandra has to offer. Start with what's do-able for you, add to it when you are ready, if you need more support. Whatever you choose will be helpful. There's no need to let over-thinking your first step get in the way of getting started.
If you would like to share Perelandra support with a loved one who is struggling, start with the simplest "good option" listed here.
The Good Option
ETS & EoP Infusion Pump
Take one dose (10-12 drops) of ETS for Humans 3 to 5 times a day. Keep doing this until you feel you have turned a corner in your day-to-day thinking and feeling.
If what you're feeling is of the more subtle variety, then 3 times a day may be all you need. If it's more extreme, stick with taking ETS 5 times a day for now.
Keep your EoP Infusion Pump in your pocket. This will help you more easily maintain your equilibrium through the normal ups and downs of your day.
Good Bonus Tip
ETS & EoP Baths
We suggest ETS Baths and EoP Baths (or all-over sprays) often because they're so simple and effective. It's also a great way of taking 20 minutes to be kind to yourself and relieve stress after struggling through the day.
The Better Option
MAP & EoP
In addition to ETS and the EoP Pump, use MAP (Medical Assistance Program). Tell your MAP team if you are feeling depressed, empty, scared, panicked, angry, shocked, hopeless, hopeful . . . Let them know what you're experiencing and what you need help with.
If you have a nagging fear, concern or thought that keeps throwing you off balance, take a focused dose of EoP (Essence of Perelandra) to help you move through it. For example: If you dread talking with a friend or family member because they feel differently about what's happening politically or environmentally, take EoP before visits or conversations to help you maintain your composure. Or, if you just wake up in the morning overwhelmed with sadness, take EoP to help you move through that sadness and make healthy choices for yourself that day. See page 5 of the EoP brochure, or follow the easy steps explained here.
Better Bonus Tip
MBP Balancing Solutions
When these kinds of feelings settle in, that can weaken your systems and can make you vulnerable. Support yourself with the basics. In addition to ETS for Humans, take the MBP Immune and Lymphatic Solutions twice daily.
And consider including MBP Balancing Solutions support for any other systems that you know could use some shoring up. We've found for despair and depression that the endocrine, nervous and digestive systems are sometimes in need. If long-term stress is eating at you, try the Stress Combo. (Or simply choose the Solutions that pique your interest.)
The Best Option
PIC List Testing
Do a PIC List test with the focus of how you're feeling. You could write "life sucks" or "I'm sad/scared" or "I have no energy" or "I can't think" or "I want to fix my broken heart" as your PIC List focus and get a full read out of exactly which group of Perelandra Solutions and Essences you need to address that issue.
If you want to give it a try and you still can't seem to come up with something, look at the examples we gave in the beginning of this message. If you read something on that list and think, "Yep. That's how I feel." then that's a good focus to use for your PIC List test.
You do NOT need to know PKTT and you do not have to own every bottle to test the PIC List!
Best Bonus Tip
Essences Telegraph Test
If you have one, two or all of the Perelandra Essences Sets and you use PKTT, do a Basic Telegraph Test for Emotional and Mental Issues. This replaces the old Calibration Process, providing a deeper, longer-lasting sense of stability.
See pages 214-215 of The Perelandra Essences book.

Never Underestimate Your Microbes
If this is something you have struggled with over time and isn't just related to something more recent in your life or current world events, this might help. It's a personal story from one of you who has "tried everything" and been through the wringer and found the "missing link" when she turned her attention to the health of her microbes.
